Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)
Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. Discover Scuba Diving can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver certification.
West Bay Divers offers the best possible conditions for learning to scuba dive. Our training site is West Bay with the palm tree lined beach just a short walk from the dive center.
The starting point for most people is the introductory Discover Scuba Diving program, which can be completed within half a day. If you enjoy the dive, you can continue onto the Open Water the full Open Water Course, granting you the full basic scuba diving license. Your Discover Scuba Dive counts as your first dive of the four dives required to complete the course. Open water courses vary in length from 2 to 4 days.
If you are coming to Roatan on a short vacation it is also possible to complete PADI’s referral and E-Learning program where you can complete a portion of the Open Water Scuba Diver course online or at your local PADI Dive centre.
